Things to do and Places to visit whilst staying at Gifford House Bed and Breakfast in Edinburgh
As you are probably aware the beautiful City of Edinburgh and surrounding areas has plenty of "Things to do" and "Places to visit" that's more than likely the reason for choosing to visit Edinburgh in the first place, please be careful as many of the visitors to Edinburgh end up falling in love with this enchanting city and returning time and time again.
Here are a few places that you may want to visit during your stay at Gifford House Bed and Breakfast in Edinburgh.
If you are looking for somewhere local for a nice lunch or evening meal we highly recommend The Salisbury Arms pub and The Old Bell Inn, both if which are less than 10 minutes walk from Gifford House B&B, please ask a member of the team for directions and we will gladly point you in the right direction. We suggest making table reservations to avoid disappointment.
Getting around the City of Edinburgh by tram or bus.
Lothian Buses connect the Edinburgh region with over 70 services and more than 700 buses and trams which run day and night throughout the year. They provide excellent transport links to and from Central Edinburgh and Edinburgh airport from Gifford House, check out their website for more information:

Local Swimming Pool and Gym near Gifford House B&B in Edinburgh
Gifford House bed and breakfast is the ideal base if you are attending swimming events at The Royal Commonwealth Pool in Edinburgh, Gifford House B&B is located less than 200 yards walk from the pool and gym, there are many other sporting activities available, check-out the official website for more information or book a swimming session online:

Why Not Visit Edinburgh Zoo? One of Edinburgh's Favourite Tourist Attractions!
Edinburgh Zoo is set in 82 acres of sloping parkland and is situated three miles to the west of Edinburgh city centre. It is home to over 1,000 rare and endangered animals, including chimpanzees, sun bears, Indian Rhinos, the UK's only Queensland koalas and the first Giant Pandas in the UK.
You can experience a busy programme of educational events and activities from keeper talks to hands-on animal encounters. There is also a wide-range of eating experiences, several play areas and a fantastic gift shop.
Viewing for the Giant Pandas is currently free flow and booking is not required. Please check our website for any daily updates or closures.
Due to new COVID-19 restrictions, it is important that you reserve a timeslot after booking your ticket.

Once you have booked tickets just jump on the number 2 bus outside the door of Gifford House and change at Haymarket Station then jump on the number 31 bus to Edinburgh Zoo.
